My ride for 2006 is Finished

Made some pictures of my ride for 2006 and did the first runs over the weekend.
Saterday:

Checked the tyrepressures, filled the bowl with fresh fuel, pulled the choke, pressed the startbutton and the beast came to live after hybernating for 6 months.

Sounds awfull with the HD FSX muffler, not too loud, excactly what I wanted.

Took her out for a spin( some backfiring at gearchanges) till the oil was at 80 degrees C.

Crancked the trottle wide open, man what a sound, like an old BSA thumper.

Adjusted idle, 1100 RPM and mixture 2 1/2 turn out.
Went to the nearby motorshops including the HD dealer and got lots of comments.

Q: Why do you have a HD muffler?
A: Because they are cheap, 60 euros including shipping from the States, they did not believe me.

Sunday: no ride

Monday:

Made a round trip of about 120 KM through the flat Dutch country side. Enjoyed every second of it.

I love the sound of mine with the hd on there. Reminds me more of an old military heicopter than a bike with the bike single when your just lugging along. Listen and you'll hear it.

Would you give me some advice please?  I want to paint my Savage the same yellow color that you used - it looks great!   I am a person who can't pick out colors from a color chart, so please let me know what brand and color you chose, and do you think the paint is available in the states?

Your subtle and balanced changes are outstanding. Nicely done. The yellow works well.
