Well, I hate tank seams.

If I "gently" take a hammer to my tank seams, is there any chance it will hold gas afterwards?

What about cutting/grinding and welding (after the gas is drained and the tank allowed to air out completely)?

Keep in mind I don't really care about looks except for getting rid of the seams.  So dents and scuffed spraypaint aren't much of an issue for me.

Did a search for "tank seams" too... no results except to learn that they are soldered...
