Lancer,
let me ask you this...
Do you think it would be wise to wait until I
need
to bore the cylinder out, or just go ahead and hot rod it? I would like to give this bike to my son (Godwilling, 20 or so years from now
).
Thanks!

I guy in Kodak,TN coated mine, still looks great.
If rubbin Blue Away vs. coating = more ride time, that's for me.

Hey folks,
Did a 7000 day search on "ceramic"...
...came up with brake pads and a little bit of ceramic paint...
Thinking about getting my header pipe ceramic coated, inside and out as I would like to reduce the engine temp a bit. Does anyone foresee any problems with this, suck as too low an oil pressure? Also, I would then not be afraid to run header wraps, for looks. A major problem with header wraps, to my understanding, is that they can rust the heck out of the header... not good.
Thanks for any input,
K

If it was mine, it would depend on the milage on the engine and any other wear and tear issue's in the engine. If it is not high milage and runs good I would just leave it. If it is high milage and/or has mechanical problems now or over the horizon then I would go ahead and do the rebuild.

Savage_Rob,
Is this the stuff you used to seal the header wrap w/ ?

What is it? I'd like to be able to pick it up locally...
Thanks,
