Foward controls yes or no
09/22/05 at 05:29:18

Did a search to do some reading up on these but haven't had a ton of luck. There is one write up on here but I can't get the pics to work. I'd rather make them myself instead of spending 500.00. Does anybody have foward controls on their savage, and does it make a difference for your legs?

I know there have been at least a couple of conversations about these but they may have been a while back.  You may need to search back a ways to find anything.  I did locate the Make your own forward controls thread in the Technical Corner, if that helps at all.  At 5' 9", I don't have a real need for them, though they might be fun someday.  You might ask Nightrain about 'em.

No forward controls, but built some highway pegs/bar and by far is the best thing I did for comfort. 6'1" 210lbs.

I have looked everywhere for some f.c and never been able to find any. I have looked for direct bolt on hiway bars and no luck there either. seen lots of stuff I could make fit but for what its worth I 'd just as soon bolt em right on . I 'm right @ 6' maybe 5'11  and It would be nice to stretch out once in a while

http://www.seegercycle.com/cgi-bin/dev/details_bike.cgi?2.2.36
http://www.highwayhawk.com/  part#493-5015

These are the only two aftermarket forward controls I have found That are direct fit for the savage.

At 6'2" I'm leaning towards the Seegercycle ones for the 6" of extra room.  The Highwayhawk only give you a couple of inches.

I think I'm going to try to make my own controls. I'll shoot some pics if they work out. If not, I'm going to break down and buy the seeger ones. Thanks for the replies and ideas....
