last few minutes of summer

the time is 15:11 hrs pst. there are only twelve minutes left in summer for those of us in the northern hemisphere.  i hope everyone had an enjoyable summer. i look forward to hearing and seeing pictures of the fall folligage, hey maybe that can be the next group ride. although i live north of the 49th parallel in a desert enviroment  i still ride year round, yes it gets pretty darn cold, but thumper don't care.  my boss and i are going for a several day trip through British Columbia next week.  it should be great, i'll post pictures upon my return.

enjoy

Yes it's officially autumn now. Nightfall is arriving earlier every evening, and the night-time temperatures are slipping into the forties here in the Wolverine state.   :'(

BUT some of the best riding of the season can occure in the last days of September, and the whole month of October!  Warm Indian Summer days, crisp mornings and afternoons. leaves turning beautiful shades of red and yellow, less traffic too (if you avoid the weekends' when the cages take to the roads to visit the cidar mills, and pumpkin patches, or just to view the colors.)

I just recieved a very heavy "River Road" Colorado jacket with a zip out lining, (or zip in as the weather dictates) and matching leather chaps from wife MJ (for my birthday.)

So good bye Summer, and Hello Fall!
I'm ready to roll!   Grin

Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn.  Rather not fall if I can help it.  Here in SoCal, it is the end of the fire season and the start of the mudslide season.

that is unfortunately funny paladin.

All of my favorite rides have occured in the fall.  I don't mind bundling up for the cold.  Crisp air and crack of the throttle!

The nice thing about the cooler weather is that the leathers are now comfortable wear.  I'm thinking of springing for a full face helmet for the rain.
