Springer front fork ?
09/21/05 at 08:53:11

I have just bought my 1988 Savage Cheesy (still have to collect it actually, it'll be a good 500 mile ride Shocked... hope it won't rain Embarrassed) and one thing I've often daydreamed about is a "springer" type front fork. I assume HD springer forks from modern bikes can be horribly expensive, so what about alternatives?

I'd love to see how a "springer" front-end looks on a Savage too!!

I'll have to scan it...  This may take a while...  I'll try to do it soon, though...  Smiley

BTW,  Roadbike is a lousy magazine, IMO, though there are usually some good sections...  They are all about the $30 - $50k bling-bling metric "choppers."   bleh  Roll Eyes

Did a search and came up with this thread...

Has anyone done any research on if/how/what kind of springer or alternative front end can be abused onto the front of a Savage?

www.jeris-springer.com

Looked at this site...seems they could make a custom one. I bet it would cost an arm and a leg though!
