I just exchanged a few emails with Odar, from Sweden, and he shared with me some of what he has done with his Savage. This is the Dyno test he did on his bike, which has a Raask open pipe and a rejetted stock carb. He reports that the fuel/air ratio is nearly perfect throughout the entire range. I think you will agree that he has done an excellent job of putting this all together.

I wanted to show this to encourage some of the folks who are new to our family. It really does not take very much effort to get a good return for your efforts. Carb jetting does take a little clock time and patience but it can be done by most anyone and the results can be really great...besides that the cost is very low.

that you did put up my curves direct here on the forum, dont know what you meant Greag about different RPM ???.
But the stock curve are plotted in to the new runprintout, to have something to compare to, both curves are from my bike, I have had my bike on dynos several times, and always put the stock curves on the newest to compare to.

Sorry. Each pair of curves shows a respectable increase, but let's face it, the torque curve is the best....I see that peak torque seems to be developing about 500 RPMs later than stock...

What this graph shows is that if You intend to just putt-putt around with 3-4 500 RPM - You will be better off with the stock setting. You transfer this in mph. The only problem with this setting is that the stock setting / at least here in SW USA/ might give You a seized engine. If You intend to ride above this range You can get a 33 % increase in the HP and about 23% increase in the torque pretty easy and cheap compared to the rest of the bikes. The decision is Yours.
