You don't carry it, you tow it with a lightweight trailer.  The hard part is getting a hitch for the Savage.

Trailer hitch on a Savage... ??? Give me a couple days, got a couple "scrap" hitches at work...Hey, it's worth a try. Worst case I waste some flux core wire. Oh, there's a first...NOT!!!  Grin

I had to work on the 9th. Couldn't ride on the 10th, unless the parking lot puddle counted...  Tongue

Susan you make me home sick, I've spent many hours running around Lake Noxamixon with a 12 foot boat trying to catch the giant bass that are suposed to be there. Grin. Here's my offering for lake day, it has rained almost every day since I've moved to Florida so I rolled my '02 next to the pool and took a couple of shots, not a real lake shot but close. Cheesy

Ed L., that's great!

We had remnants of Dennis for a couple of days here in GA.  I attempted to ride to Bear Creek Reservoir, but halfway there the sky started turning a particularly scary shade of black, so I turned back and went home.  I did, however, take a picture with my pool in the background -- I was going to post it, but thought it might not work with all the lake shots.

You've inspired me to get that photo off my card, onto my hard drive, upload it to bikepics, and post!  Yes!   Grin

Of course, I'm at work now, so I can't. Tongue   But I will.

I rode along US98, the FL Panhandle beach highway from Destin to Pensacola last week during trop storm Cindy and right up to the day before Hurrecane Dennis - but DANG I did not shoot any pics.

Maybe the FL highway patrol has some "look at that idiot" footage I can pull up.

The hurricane hit shore before we got back to Texas, that's how close we cut it.  Even then I stopped on the Mississippi gluf coast to pick up a non-running Savage.

And this is my wife Theresa on her Vulcan.

So you let your wife ride a bigger bike than you.  Will you kindly email my husband and tell him that is perfectly manly and okay for things to be that way?  He is all bent cuz he's riding my Savage and I'm on the Intruder...I told him to buck up and get over it.  Grin

Hey Bluejeanz, my house has been the same as yours since 2000. No biggie. If I didn't need a bike that lets me move around more, it would still be that way. Your hubby is a new rider, so, bike envy is irrelevant, he should stick with the Savage for a year or two until he is very comfortable on it. Then, and only then, consider another scoot.

Sorry to disappoint, but if you are comparing engine displacement her Vulcan is a 500. It does have more horsepower, 6 speeds and runs a lot different (I hate to say smoother) than my Savage if that helps. Wink

Who originally owned the Intruder?  Did you steal it from him?  Smiley

And you know what's even stranger than the man on a smaller bike?....you are the member in this forum and your husband isn't.  Tell him to join this forum and chat with the rest of us wimps.  That will make him feel better  Grin

Just tell hubby that you ride whatever is comfortable for you, and that is all that matters.
