Sure, we can still be friends....but we know that you'll be cheating anyway.  It won't be long and all your attentions will be given to some other biker site, like....

BARF

...and we know how it goes.  We won't have as much in common and you'll become bored with us.  We know...you gotta do what you gotta do Smiley

Ride Safe, Bobo.

Nothing's out there for the big One (cb1000)Very few sites have the technical expertise that this one does, and few bikes have the rabid following as the Savage (though Suzuki GS is good).  I like it here, and another Savage will come along shortly.  Then I get to start over.

Which one was the 6 cylinder?  CBX 1000?  Now, that one would certainly have a cult following.  I always loved to just look at that one even though I heard that to sync the carbs was a bit tedious.

Yea, I know the KAW, but to look at the naked CBX was just plain stimulating  8)

You should see the KZ1300 CHOPPER that lives in the area... bikegasm... 6061-T651 aluminum frame, stainless micro fenders, open headers, coffin tank built off the original tank pan, 21 inch apehangers, FLH-P sprung solo seat...  Shocked Shocked Shocked 8)  The epitome of a 1970s "Cheesy chopper", the bikes that are cartoon carictures of what they were intended to be.  My BIKE has bike envy... Embarrassed

I don't think that I've seen a 1300 without a fairing....sounds really perky  8)

I picked up a rough 88 Savage in Mississippi on my way back from Florida - Purple, with a hole in the piston.  The man was about to load it into a bike trailer to weigh it down for the hurricane.  As soon as I find my camera in the Suburban I'll take a pic.

I never rode long distance before - man that will put you right to sleep if you don't look out.   250 miles or so is all I wanted of that.  It's a good thing you have to stop every 100 - 140 miles to fuel up anyway.

GREG -- is that your Savage in the picture below your posts?  Man, that looks good.  What pipe is that?

Yup Greg, your bobbed Savage looks really nice! Love the straight pipe and the flat black engine cases! That tool roll mounted below the engine guards is very unique too ... just might have to copy that if ya don't mind!
