Clive, there's no way I'm touching the carburetor.  You've seen the other thread I have going here -- I'm still trying to figure out how to operate the fuel valve.  Roll Eyes

Savage Rob, thanks for the Dremel info.  Of course, there's no way I'll be using one any time soon.  (See 1st paragraph, above.) Cheesy

Paladin: I've found some info here on mileage.  I figure I'll just fill up every 100 miles.  It's either that or run until I'm out of gas again, and I'm not about to do that.   Grin

I use an old lipstick pencil & write my mileage down on the speedometer when I fill up, esy to see and to clean off. Try to fill up before I ride regardless of how far I'm planning to go, who knows, another road may call me.

The are a few bicycle speedometers/odometers that can be fitted to the Savage and will give a digital readout of everything including speed, overall mileage, tripmeter, etc.
