On my SR I made the steering stem fit the TZR trees so I have TZR forks, mudgaurd and disc (320mm) with AP four pot caliper and AP adjustable ratio m/cylinder.
On the back I have std. TZR brakes (210mm disc), wheel and a shortened aluminium swingarm.
A long term project.

goose that was my quote, but it still applies.  billet cut wheels belong on what i call MOTORCYCLE JEWELRY, made by builders whose show you see on tv frequently.
machines built for looks or the ocasional trip to the show.

well except the late indian larry and kendall. they build great looking riding machines.

give me a ratt bike daily rider piece o cr@p any day of the week.

My 65 Buick's got Dayton wire spokes.  They look better than the Savage spokes.  What are they, galvanized on the Savage?

I think simple chariot/cart cast mag spokes look ok, but I agree that true spokes look best.

I don't know if they are galvanised or not, but I do know they don't shine up too well.  They certainly won't sparkle.  At least mine don't.

That may also vary from year to year, AFAICT.

Yeah, know whatcha mean about the Savage's spokes ... my Bike is less than 2 years old and the spokes are about as bright as a cloudy Monday ... too bad, 'cause real chrome spokes wouldn't have added much to the overall cost of the Bike, but would've help with keeping the look fresh longer ...

I have stainless spokes on my KLX, still have to polish the aluminium rims regularly though.
