I'm sorry, the first thing that came to mind when I saw the website was Def Leppard.  Those raised in the late '70's early 80's will get what I'm refferring to.

Remember when Rick Allen......? I know exactly what you mean. I caught them last year at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Rhode Island. They are pretty much washed up, but I stuck around for the drum solo. Hearing Rick do an 8 minute drum solo is an enlivening experience up there with riding a motorcycle through a tunnel at night. If you even remotely like percussion, the man is still a legend. Well worth the $20 I paid for a ticket.

$20. What a deal.  Back to the bike, though.  If it wasn't for the motor, I'd have said that wasn't a Savage.  That is one classic looking bike.

I like the front seat and the looks of the front end with the head light, but I am not crazy for the RR seat  and the wide bars. Also this white battery just doesn't look right to me. This is just me thaw.

My o my that is a beauty. Interesting treatment of the main seat pan, turn lights, tail/stop lamp, horn, and passenger seat. The lack of trim/decals and items under the seat and being all one color sure makes a difference.  Would be neat to have a Savage Show sometime and have folks see how much many variations can come from such a simple machine.  Maybe we could even find the brit style side car rig that used to be in the Seattle area.

Too much chrome.  Embarrassed And the rear seat has got togo. Rest of it is very nice. 8)

I like the way the frame really shows up when painted like that.   Very Intruderish.

I'm with WD. Chrome is for people who like to have shiney, glittery bikes. I really hate polishing chrome, I'd rather just paint it all black and then forget about it. Speaking of liking rust, Check out this rust covered bike by WCC. I am not a huge fan of WCC by any means but to experiment with different texture and materials is a true art form. And I just LOVE the gators  Grin

There's not really any more chrome than on a stock bike.

What are you? Anti-Chromite?

Well, that rust finish is pretty cool.  I can see the art form in that even if it does come from WCC.

Personally, I like chrome as a highlight kind of detail.  Something to set off a particular part like the pipe.  I spent a lot of time staring at a Honda Rune this morning, and there is a bike with too much chrome, in my opinion.  Everything is covered in huge sweeping sections, the mufflers are huge, and that chromed "monolever/springer" front end is almost hard to distinguish for all its shiny chrome.  And what about a headlight that is about a foot long?  Too much chrome.  Geez.

Rune

What I'm really not fond of (but what are you gonna do?) is aluminum casting with or without a clear coat.  It just never looks clean.  You clean your bike and have shiny paint, shiny chrome, gleeming black with a big hunk of dull aluminum in the middle.

PS - that link is to my new found "stealership" Heaven  8)
