Agree, that the bigger back graphic, smaller front graphic tend to suit motorcycle tee's better ... but will disagree on the "it's not a Harley, so no copy-cat skulls & crossbones" thing ... yup it ain't a Harley ... no question there ... but a more traditional lookin' Biker tee (i.e. black tee with colorful bad-ass graphics) in a Savage/S40 theme would be cool! Afterall, the LS650 is a Real Bike!
Maybe somethin' like this? Replace the "Choppers" with "Suzuki LS650", same font style ... and replace the "forever" with our "Big Single" slogan? Doesn't have to be same design, just a more "Biker" styled theme ... maybe even replace the helmeted skull with the Savage engine surrounded by those orange flames? Comments?

8)Here's another idea (just brain-stormin' folks so forgive me if this offends anyone's personal taste's) ... Logo says Loyal to ONE instead of "Loyal to none" ... below the graphic (could be the Savage engine with flames again) another banner with "LS650 Savage" or some such?

i guess it's a matter of taste, personally i prefer a small graphic on the front. large on back.

it must be a simple graphic at that..

A black pocket T-shirt, a clean hi-rez photo of Gargoyle's engine on the back, and on the pocket:

"What sort of
biker needs
more than
one cylinder?"

(or)

"Big Single
and
loving it!"

The art, front and back, is available on my site.  I just ordered a ($28!) t-shirt from artapart.com and it should arrive in a week.

Will post on the quality when it arrives.

That's a GREAT site.  I put some of my efforts on a white ringer shirt.  That ought to look good.  BUT I'll wait until I hear your squeals of joy before I place an order. Cheesy

Ain't it interesting how everyone has a different idea of what their thumper is.

Some see it as a chopper, some see it as a cruiser, some seem to think it's cuddly or something like that.  Myself, I see it as a modern classic tipping a hat back to the great BSA and Ducati road thumpers of the past.

The Shirt/Logo designs really show a wide divergence of our views of our bikes and ourselves.

It's cool.

I like that one too!   Smiley
Always wished for a really cool tee of the Suzy thumper, never saw one  :'(.

Black is good, preferred by bikers everywhere.
My old art instructor hated black (paint), it was not allowed in class as “unnatural, absents of color”.
Why copy the HD boys or appear as a HD wannabes?  Undecided
I would suggest a choice of VERY dark background colors like Navy Blue, Racing Green, & Burgundy along w/ basic black.
Our 650 has been issued in a rainbow of colors since 86, so why not a deep color to offset the image of the fine engine?

Suzuki’s TSCC (twin swirl combustion chamber) has always been one of the best designs known.
Something to point out the efficiency of our four-valve design and the advantages over other 2-valve and/or pushrod engines, the return-to-basics bike with a sophisticated engine, and it’s elegance in design!
Good reasons for continued loyalty to our ‘trick’ 650. (or S40)
Perhaps a subtitle or banners under the engine graphic with something like
“40 Cubic Inch Overhead Cam Four Valve Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber" or if too much, like- “OHC TSCC S40”
Also, consider “THUMPS!” vs. “THUMPER” above the image.
I always try to purchase tees with a front pocket.
My dream tee would be Navy blue, have the original 1986 LS650 tank graphic “S” logo on the pocket or the "Big Single"  logo with w/ a “SuzukiSavage.com”  subtitle below the graphic.
The back would have the largest possible graphic of the engine as described above on the back.  Shocked Grin

Man, may be you oughta copyright that promo and sell it to Zuk’s ad. Dept!  Smiley

I cannot justify to myself trying to copyright what I stole.  If I had taken the photo of the engine, or drawn it myself, maybe -- and if I do I mark the picture as such (example.)

What I might do is get the design on Blue, Orange, Green, Brown, and Slate -- for wear on each matching workday of the week.   Black is acceptable any day, so until and unless I get a set it has to be black.

If you wish to modify the design/text for yourself please feel free to do so.

Got the t-shirt from artapart.com -- the shirt is a Haynes Heavyweight, which is not that heavy, and the artwork is an iron-on type thingie that is obviously added on and stiff and shiny (as you can see by the reflected flash.)  Worth about $14 -- half of what I paid.

I think I need to find someone to set it up as a silkscreen printing.

Will get a daylight photo tomorrow.

In the cold light of day I have to downgrade the quality of the t-shirt.  The back image is *obviously* an iron-on.  Will look elsewhere next year.
