Hello All,
Resident newbie here trying to get some info....
I read all the posts in this thread and checked out the bikebandit site. So am I correct in assuming all 86-95 savages are 2 valvers? I'm wondering because on Ebay I seen a 99 savage that the owner claimed had a big bore kit. but she(hubby is a mechanic) said it was close to 750. is this possible? they said the bike dealer did the machine work and hubby put it back together.
the reason I'm doing all this research is I'm in the market for a used savage  that I can hot rod. bigger piston, more compression, bigger carb, meg exhaust. if anybody can give me some tips I'm all ears..thanks, lefty

4 valves.

750cc would require a 100.8mm piston...I don't see that as an easy task to accomplish.

Can you give the Ebay link for this bike?

The DR 750/800 were never available in the US.  Nice looking bikes though.

Yet those bikes were not designed with an initial bore of 94mm punched out to 100mm right?

OK, I was a little worried -- thought you guys were saying the overbore pistons could only be used with older Savages.
