Help! Front Break trouble

Hello Everyone-

I just purchased a '96 Savage. I love the bike! Soo much fun! However, when I apply the front break, I get a very distinct pulsating sensation in the handle. The bike also ceases to slow during this short time. I think it only occurs once per wheel revolution, but I need to test that tomorrow to verify. Besides the rotor being warped (I hope not), any other ideas?

I checked the break fluid level, and its full. The fluid looks very liquid-ey tho, so I might try replacing that tomorrow and see if that helps.

Any suggestions would be very helpful!

Any suggestions would be very helpful!

Check if the rotor and pads are glazed or have a oily spot.
Thoroughly degrease the rotor and lightly sand the pad faces. May want to very lightly sand the rotor too. If pads look oil soaked, replace the pads.

Yep, this and you might want to remove the caliper and clean it, put some brake squeal grease on the back of the pads, and grease the guide pins so that the caliper floats on the rotor.

Might be that maintenance hasn't been done for a while to this '96.
