I was down there back in May for a week and enjoyed it but it still was early summer. I know how hot it gets, I spent a year working on the oil rigs in the gulf way back in the late 70's, you could cook an egg on the deck in August, all we had on was a hard hat, cutoffs and steel toed work boots.  Looked like something out of the Village People.
I'll miss the twisties here in eastern PA but found that you can't ride with snow on the ground. It's getting built up around here with a lot of cagers in SUV's all over the roads, Florida seems a bit more rural, reminded me of central New Jersey with the sandy soil and scrub oaks. The major differences were palm trees and armadillos Grin  Ride Safe

You almost just described South Carolina and Georgia mountains. Not Florida much any more...

I grew up in NW Florida.... so I know. Its not the same anymore.
