Rubber dampeners

good morning gang,
As my bike has evolved, my rear pulley has axial play of an eighth of an inch or more. I have replace the stock bearings, but I have not replace the rubber dampeners. Could this cause pulley wobble?

That's pretty normal for these bikes.  You can either ignore it or do a mod to tighten it up.

DragBikeMike did a double bearing mod that works well and seems to be the current "gold standard", but there are a couple of others.

It shouldn't be too hard to search up.

I appreciate it, it’s just starting to make my belt squeak a little bit and it’s annoying

I’ll have to check the axle nuts again for torque value, I think it’s somewhere in the neighborhood of 80 pounds

Dan, all I get from your vid link is audio.  What are you trying to show us?  Did you replace the bearing in your pulley hub?

This link for the duplex bearing mod should help.  It's easy to do.  You will need the bearing and will also have to have your spacer machined as shown.  Armen does the spacers.

This link provides some good info on pulley alignment.  It starts at reply #56.

Good luck, Mike

I have one of the spacers in stock. If you want it, I can send it. Just send me yours when you swap them out. Really simply job. DBM figured out a brilliant, effective, cheap, and easy fix to this common problem.
LMK
thanks
