Last year was my personal best at 8,100, but I have a whole lot of catching up to do if I am going to match that. I am planning a long trip; although, work keeps getting in the way.

Current job, just commuting 5 days a week, no cage trips and no for fun bike rides, would put me at 18720 miles per year. Around $1200-1300 USD in fuel, just for commuting. The truck would run me $3338.40 in fuel.

Personal best, on a different bike, was 44K miles in 18 months. And I had the 98 Savage as a back road toy then, saved the VN800A for commuting and real rides.

I average 30K miles per year on two wheels. Subtract about 8 years for layoffs due to injuries/illnesses/broken bikes, leaves 19 years... at a bare minimum, I have a bit over 570K miles on motorcycles under my butt.

On 2 wheels since 7/87
