carb jets, front brake and rear wheel

Hi all, new here.
Just got me a Savage after a few years of not having a bike. (Small kids)
I got it really cheap and I love to build so naturally I will make this one odd machine.
I got rid of the air filter box and aim to go with a small sport airfilter.
Does anyone know which jets go with that? 2 sizes bigger?
I am also thinking about upgrading the front brake, is it hard to fit a 4 piston caliper on these wheels or will it be a walk in the park?
Since I am going for a retro look, I'd like a slimmer rear wheel. Is it possible to stretch on a 120/90-15? Or a 130?
Nice to be here and I apologize for my english (I am swedish)
Have a great day, all! Smiley

Welcome! Congrats on the bike. This is a great site full of helpful people. Make sure to use the Search and keep question threads in the Rubber Side Down.

There are several threads about Jetting and switching to Pod filters/aftermarket Exhausts. Most people go up at least one main jet and adjust the idle mix screw: http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1221818822/0#0

Heres some links on Jetting:

I'm not sure on front brake? I'm sure someone here would know. I would do a search and see what threads pop up.

And not sure about 120 on the rear. I know 130 will fit. Theres not a lot of options here in the U.S. for 15" rear motorcycle tires. I know some people switch to 16" or 17" and on the RYCA builds, switch to an 18" rear.

For the front brake......check the Marketplace for the only front brake upgrade that is known to work.  We are investigating if the SV650 brake caliper is a worthwhile upgrade - but it does require modifying the mounting bracket.

For the rear tire.....changing the rear rim size to an 18" rim is popular when going to the Cafe' or Tracker look.

Jet sizes....not sure if you need to go up 2 sizes...jetting is a very personal thing.

130/90-15 is an easy handling improvement. Looks better as well.

If you are only doing the intake side, stock jets or one size larger. Intake and exhaust, one size larger, 2 if it stumbles really bad on the top end.
