S-P Serious Thumper Offline Back in the saddle again Posts: 816 Phoenix, AZ Gender:	Starter gear replacement and side cover 12/02/13 at 19:19:45 I have an '86 engine and am replacing the starter gear. I can pick up a newer cover so I don't have to machine my old one to accomodate the new shaft length. Are they universal otherwise (stator, bolt patterns, gaskets etc.)
