Ceramic coated exhaust

New member & a picture trial here.
I recently bought a 2006 with a blued exhaust header.  I wanted to do something about it & thought about trying "Blue-job", but it cost $20 & research showed that results seemed to vary.  I decided to go with a ceramic coating from a local shop.  Cost was $50.  Just got it back & installed this morning.  Very satisfied with the apperance, & hope it wears well.  I wanted black, but the shop guy convinced to go with silver.  Said it would hold up better.

That looks great - and sounds like a great price.  I was looking into having this done and stripping the chrome prior to the coating was going to cost more than you paid for everything.

Let us know how it holds up.....and maybe I need to send my header down to the fellow that did yours.

Looks very nice and that is a good price.  I had my header done in black several years ago and I love it.

Looks pretty good.  Keep us posted on how it holds up.

I had a set of brand new (SBC) headers Jet Hot coated a number of years ago, paying a little more for their reputation.  Rust started poking through within a year or so.  Embarrassed
