"Christian" Nationalism
07/19/26 at 15:10:36

It's just another version of Nazi.

Question: Why does Christianity focus on the Crucifixion, the lowest point in all of "Christian history", rather than the message of hope and love that Christianity purports as the foundation of their belief?

(REAL Christians, and I know some, never proselytize, never denigrate, and never support Trumpedo.)

I imagine this depends on what church you get your information from, plenty focus on hope and love according to online teaching metrics.   Typically the Crucifixion is considered the ultimate demonstration of God's love for man, and the pivotal moment of victory over sin and death.  Without it there would be no Christianity, so I imagine it's pretty important to acknowledge.

I find it hard to believe there is any human that "never" denigrates.

"Christian" nationalists push WAR. They are the core believers in Nazi and fascist states.

Nazis were "Christian" Nationalists, NOT socialists.

I don't understand why derivative mythological systems always think the previous mythological systems that THEIRS is derived from are the enemies. Protestant "Christians", ALL of which are Catholic, or Catholic derived, also hate the Catholics. The "Christians" hate the Jews; the Muslims hate the Christiand AND the Jews. All of them claim the love of something; none show any love at all. (I'm speaking of the radicals in all of these; some of them, I assume, are good people.)

ALL Christendom is descended from the Catholics. The Catholic Church, more of a political stance than anything else, felt threatened by the Cathars, a resurfacing of the Gnostics in the 12th century that taught love, hope, nonviolence, and equality, not just of races, but of genders. That so enraged the Pope (Father of the Church) that when the king of France decided not to repay the money he'd borrowed to the Cathar region, he offered to send Spanish Crusaders to wipe the Cathars out. He did, so sucessfully that the Pope started the Inquisition and wiped out nearly ALL non-Catholic groups. This was also during the time the Catholics would only allow Catholic Priests to actually READ their "Bible".

Christianity has always WANTED to be a political or meta-political entity.
That is another reason to ban religion from government.

"As to the book called the Bible, it is blasphemy to call it the word of God.

GENOCIDE ( Exodus 32:27)
SLAVERY (Epbasiaas 6:5)
MASSACRES (1Samuel 15:3)
MISOGYNY (1Timothy 2:11-12)
HATRED  (Psalm137:9
CRUELTY (2 Kings 2:23-24
CONTRADICTIONS (MANY VERSES)

It is a book of lies and contradictions, and a history of bad times and bad men.    There are but a few good characters in the whole book.
The Bible IS FULL OF VIOLENCE, CRUELTY, INTOLERANCE, and SUPERSTITION"

Wrong. Core values come from within when the person has been taught morals and honor. Christianity has no claim over those things, since they pre-existed Christianity. Buddhists, Hindus, Egyptians, Incas, Zorastrians, as well as many pagans all believe in the same good things expected of people living together.
Jesus simply recodified it all. The Founders were adamant that there is no official US religion. They were Deists, not necessarily Christians. Read some Thomas Paine.

I have to agree with Needles on this one.  There is no way core values were nonexistent prior to Christianity.
