Yeah like anyone that can do basic math would ever think that's true.

The majority of the debt in that 28% was in the first term due to the massive, bipartisan emergency relief packages passed during the C-19 pandemic like the the CARES Act.

For instance 39trillion is an accurate number and 50 trillion is complete nonsense, but it feels better to say it because Trump has that level of control over people.

We have all the breaks,... huge land size, resources, technology, economy, power, influence
and we're drowning in debt
a large part of what we pay is interest on that debt

I, as a private citizen, live on a very modest income, but have zero debt and make interest

The largest SINGLE civilian part of the nat'l debt is interest OWED to Social Security and Medicare due to Congress borrowing from those programs. That's why the GOP has always wanted to eliminate those programs.

This is the party that also says college students should pay ALL the debt accrued in the predatory student loan issue, when anywhere else in the world, they'd attend college for zero tuition.
