I'm not really at liberty to talk much about this topic, beyond saying I wonder why anyone would be surprised and what exactly did people think was in the works?

 What I can say is a ton of posters of Saddam that were ripped down were staged.  Another interesting component was intel collection where we would take an image of Saddam's face and put it on a Billy Idol poster or similar, then track or capture the human(s) that would rip those down.  Easy way to capture loyalists that blend perfectly to the local populace.
