Looking to sell my S40 project. It’s all there and in good cosmetic shape, but currently does not stay running (fires, runs a bit, then dies). I’ve put a lot of new parts and work into it, so it could be a great project for someone with the time to finish dialing it in.

What’s new / recent:

Carburetor professionally cleaned/rejetted (Carb Shack, $200) + new diaphragm & slide assembly ($200)

Raptor petcock conversion

Freshly installed belt (used, but solid)

Valves adjusted

Airbox boot, breather tube, clamps replaced

Tank cleaned last season

Tires have tons of tread left (installed 2 years ago, very few miles)

New air filter included + some spare parts (boots, clamps, original toolkit)

Condition / details:

Fires up but won’t stay running (fuel system seems solid, likely needs further tuning or electrical check)

Cosmetic condition is good: chrome decent, pipes a little golden/blue, no dents or scrapes, minimal surface rust on tank (not noticeable)

Seat stitching loose in rear but still fully usable

Missing a couple bolts from belt cover (have parts)

Battery may need replacing soon

Has a Sportster slip-on muffler (sounds good)

Why selling: Don’t have the time to keep wrenching on it.
