Just about had it with my Mukini Carb

About 3 years ago I got a carb from Lancer, the mukini.
I have spent the last year trying to get it to run. I tried cleaning it 3 times then finally brought it to a shop.

The shop got it running and set the pilot and jet was clogged.

So today while riding, I had to crank the idle all the way out to stop it from stalling. I just filled it with new gas so the gas itself should not be an issue.

The worst part is fuel just flows out of the overflow on the botton all the time. The repair guy said while it's running it shouldn't be an issue, but if I stop some place, I should turn the fuel to off.

I can look down and fuel is dripping out even when it's running.

I think I'm just going to sell it and forget about it. Sad Angry

The "repair guy" returned the bike puking fuel and told you it should be fine when running?!!

I would find another "repair guy" and/or a fuel-injected bike.

If you want to fix it you'll have to remove the float bowl to clean/replace the float needle and check the float level.

It's either got trash in the seat, the needle is bad or the float is not adjusted properly or some combination of the above. Until You learn how to perform such basic maintenance or get lucky enough to find someone who isn't A fraud, you're not going to be happy. It's not the bike. It's not the carburetor. It's the Guy doing the work.
You don't have A Lemmon.
You need to learn how to do this. It's not that hard.
If it's dumping fuel the problem is that the float isn't shutting off the fuel coming in to the bowl.
Period.
Fix THAT..

The Mikuni carb from Lancer on my bike has been there for 12 years and has never given me any problems.  It does not leak and after I got it jetted properly it never has required any further adjustments.

Your symptoms would lead me to believe you are getting dirt in your fuel from somewhere - or the bike is sitting idle for long period of time and the fuel is going bad and gumming up or corroding your carb.

A stock carb will likely suffer the same problems if you can't correct the dirty or old fuel problem.

Do you fill up more at gas stations or use gas cans? If cans I'd get a funnel with filter screen helps keep your carbs clean from junk in bottom of gas cans.  A little MMO or seafoam from time to time will help too.

This doesn't sound like a Mikuni problem, this sounds like a user error. Get a new guy or learn to do it yourself. Sorry if it sounds harsh man.
