handlebar height question

2012 Suzuki S40 with the stock high riser drag bar style
sorry if this has been asked before. I couldn't find much.
I would like to add some super short risers instead of the stock tall ones and put some mini apes on my ride. Just curious what my options are. What would be the max height bars I could install without swapping cables?
Also, any super short riser recommendations? I am seeing a lot of generic options. I don't see why they wouldn't work, assuming they were for 1 inch bars.
Thank you

I had one with the drag bars. I wouldn't have liked them when I was young.
Got one with the Buckhorn bars.. They felt Right.
Since they are stock on several years, cables for them are available.

Yes, buckhorns look more appealing than the drag bars. I have considered finding a set of the stock buckhorns assuming they would fit. I haven't been able to find extended cables for the bars. Would these 8 inch bars fit with stock cables?

My last '07 S40 had some mini ape or z-bars (I don't know exactly how you would classify them) with about a 6-7" rise and utilized the short riser mounts from a Savage. It was really really close, but the stock cables and front brake line still worked. Note the pretty hard bend in the clutch cable. The throttle cable was a little more relaxed. The wires to the starter button were no problem. I almost replaced the brake line for a longer one (it was really stretched out to the max.)
The bars in the link you shared would be really close, but the 29” total width might allow the use of the same cables, etc.. They would be close. I’d call those buckhorn bars, but mini apes sounds catchier to some people I guess.
