I recently bought a Suzuki DR 200 dual purpose thing sight unseen, I thought I had bought a very small bike and was disappointed when I first clapped eyes on it. I am not a tall bloke, but at 5'8" I would not consider myself vertically challenged either. I can get both feet on the ground sitting on it, but only just.
That's the price you pay for long travel suspension.
I'm 5'6" and shrinking as I age.
. Now the seats on MX bikes are above my belly button, and most Dual Sports and the big ADV bikes are just about the same.
The thought of tipping over on a forest trail on one of those 1200cc. 450+lb. so called "off road" monsters, with my feet dangling six inches off the ground is not something I want to contemplate.
