Well... I am back to the States after being out for almost a month. Had a great time in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and Philippines... Enjoyed Vietnam the most. Especially the Viet Cong tunnels. Fiance immigrated here as well from the Philippines. Glad to be together permanently.
Well.... We had a wreck on one of them automatic scooters in Thailand, specifically Bangkok. Bangkok has some of the craziest traffic I have ever driven in. Nothing in the States compares. Embarrassing to say the least, but it happens in life. Fiance was sitting sideway since she had on a dress.... So she just jumped off unharmed. My right half of my body slammed into the side of the car and I got wedged between. I don't know how I did not get hurt beyond a small scratch which healed in days. Arm was very sore for like 3 days. The worst injury was my wallet. 375 dollars to repair the guy's car which is remarkably cheap considering that included a tail light, paint, and labor. 25 dollars to fix the bike I rented. The police also gave me a BS fine. I did not argue over it... 11 dollars. Ill give the corrupt police 11 dollars if it means I can leave. I will give Honda some credit here. That Click 160 was tough. I don't know how it did not get ruined. I would think the plastic would be completely ruined.... Just some scratches.
I've had a few wrecks in my years of riding, and this was the easiest. My nerves are fine and I continued riding on like normal. Took her for a ride on the S40 on her first day in the States. We plan to ride up to Smoky Mountains this spring or summer depending on finances. I am glad the wreck did not spook her off motorcycles.
