Is this really an issue?
Both sides say no tax on tips
Why, I don't know... it's income
I knew a girl bartender that brought in $300 to $600 a night... and she never claimed it as income
She would claim about $30
She's not the only one either

Why don't Kamala do something as VP?
What can a VP do that P can't?
Trump was Pres for 4 years and did nothing

I want them to pay tax
$8,000 to $10,000 a month tax free?
How's that fair?

I'm against tipping in general
There's no tipping in Europe... Japan either
They pay a living wage

The issue is Trump stated it as an idea he’d work on, news articles pointed out the loss in revenue. Kamala copied Trump’s idea and the same news outlets said it was a great idea to help the working class.

AAAND, she's promising action If she is put in a position to accomplish it.
As IF SHE'S NOT RIGHT NOW.
So, yeah,, if she's serious about it, why not now?

as if the same congress that shot down a comprehensive immigration bill so the dems wouldn't have a win would let that happen

still trying to create issues where there are none

"...as if  ..............."

The POTUS already has this authority:

“suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate” if their entry is deemed “detrimental to the interests of the United States.”

“… During times when new arrivals were few, the amount required to be released from detention on bond was high; during times when there were many new arrivals, bond amounts were reduced or set at zero…” (Denise Gilman)

”… the day of John F. Kennedy’s assassination; a full closure of the southern border …”
“… closure of nine ports of entry for several days after the abduction of a Drug Enforcement Administration agent in Mexico in 1985 …”
“ …  restrictions imposed by President Richard Nixon as part of “Operation Intercept” …”
“…   George W. Bush in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, both of which “consisted primarily of extensive inspections that brought border traffic to a standstill…”
“… Trump’s travel ban, which restricted certain nationals of Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen and North Korea from obtaining visas to travel to the U.S., and which was ultimately upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court…”

None of those executive actions, ...
prompted legal challenges
that required federal courts
to assess the Executive’s authority

YET !!!!!

A federal District Court judge in California temporarily halted Trump’s effort, after concluding that barring migrants who enter outside of designated ports of entry from seeking asylum violated federal immigration law, international law and “the expressed intent of Congress.”

Steve Daines ”… let’s be very clear, President Biden could use his executive authority now to stop it, but he refuses.”
