Cut & Forget
07/15/24 at 11:35:13

I am almost a month busy to make a bobber (my first but will be one of the nicest) and I am busy with the wiring. (downloaded a simplified diagram from this Forum.

Because a lot of wires are tooo long I started cutting to shorten. So I did also with the 3 yellow cables that has to go to the RECTIFIER ... Pretty smart he...

Can somebody tell me which yellow cable goes where on te rectifier?

The 3 wires come from a 3 phase AC generator and go to the rectifier.

Typically full wave rectifiers take AC and convert it to DC and it doesn't matter which wire is attached to which terminal just as long as you don't tie all 3 wires together you'll be ok.

You butchered that.  Those wires need to be 36" long and they go to the alternator (stator or AC generator as Versy calls it). (left side engine cover near the front pulley).

With the rectifier in its normal position on the rear fender, the wires would run from there to behind the battery box, under the back side of the motor, through a channel alongside the front pulley and then into the left side engine cover near the front pulley.
