Enjoyed the video !
I'm staying Neutral on this one !
Most of the time ???
Some will remember : BigZuke style of ridding ... he would keep a back-pack to lean back on and drive like a Robot , glued to the seat with nothing changing but the expression on his face. He's the one that showed me better than to hit the brakes just because a curve showed up. Most of the time his expression was a "I've got this (smile)" , then OldFeller would pop-up in his mirror and the "O-Crap , He's not getting by this time" would take over ! I'd be watching him in my mirror.
A cross between their two styles just can't be because OldFeller would hit the brakes hard and hit the fuel harder on every curve. OldFeller , would only get 80 miles to a tank full of fuel with that style of crazzy , but who would have thought that bad fuel millage would be the result ?
Yes OldFeller would pass everybody , but his front brake rotor always had a "Blued Metal" look to it ! He's retired from ridding now , and the world is safe for a while.

As we lean into the turn a bit more than the bike, Cornering is easier and quicker than otherwise, assuming your point of focus is up ahead on the curve. It is for me.

Depends on the handlebars. Moreso if the bars are rather straight/drag. Less-so if you've got some clubman, beachbars, buckhorns, or goofy ape hangers, etc....

Here’s a point ya all missed. Leaning with the bike keeps your center over the bike. Leaning out or up you are predisposing your weight outward away from center. Also leaves you as a missle if you should highside off the bike. I would much rather lay it down than get a flying lesson. This is riding at speed not playing in a parking lot. Most of us old farts don’t really think about it cause it’s all second nature. The closer your body weight is to the bikes center the less energy it takes to corner cause you are one , not bike being guided by a rider. A rider melding onto into the bike and flowing with it. Finding every opportunity not to use brakes , seeking lap times.

Finding every opportunity not to use brakes ,
Agreed Ruttly
I paid for the speed by spending fuel , I'm not giving it up with out a fight !
Besides , I don't want to buy brake pads before I have too either !!

Most of my riding is at low speeds. I counter most of the time. It's generally safer until you reach unsafe speeds.*
*Relative to the rider's skill, the bike, and the riding environment.
