I’m real close to it being a roller ,  that gets me excited ! Over a year , it should have been done or a lot closer to completion anyways. Still needs seat recovered , tank polished and my personal fav of all new Lucas wiring. The days are growing longer , spring like conditions , a false spring for sure.  No doubt whatever it is that drives me to build is slowly returning. It’s just what I do !

A made in England seat cover with edge trim and BSA logo in gold. A nice seat for bad hips. It will go out to be deconstructed , then I will straighten bent seat pan and get it powder coated. Then back for assembly. The seat was a big part of the decision to build the bike. Seat looks big for the bike but that was the style back then and I’m ok with it and my butt gives it 2 thumbs up. No rush for the seat , do it closer to completion. Still have lots to do , at the very least , 1 bolt a day !

Did a quick polish job on the aluminum tank. That is the only part I’m gonna hit with an electric buffer & polish. Everything else is hand cleaned with Simple Green. Most of the patina is gone leaving a nicely aged bike , but have no fear , patina cleaned not removed , it will slowly reappear as time goes on. A step back in time , in a sense part of my going up. Besides the grips & tires & peg rubbers , nothing has been changed. A Time Machine right down to the points. Ooh shocks n stuff gettin delivered today , gonna burn some midnight oil. The roller will emerge tomorrow and greet her first dose of sunlight in 21 years. How cool is that !   Cool

Today I ordered and paid for this. All I have to do now is wait and sort out the shipping. When it arrives I will remove the flashers and replace the stainless fasteners with brass ones. It has the features that I like. 24 HP flat head engine rather than the OHV 32 HP.    Full width hubs, gun mount and ammo boxes. And it's in the right color Smiley
