This is St Louis story but has gotten national coverage. A girl visiting St Louis for a volleyball tournament lost both legs when a POS punk who should have been in jail ran her over on a crash. It’s likely going to finally be the end for the worthless prosecutor the city has been saddled with, but I’m not betting much else will change over the long run. Three aldermen were just arrested for bribes and the city has a history that rivals Chicago as far as incompetence and corruption.

Oh and by the way, the City of St Louis “won” hundreds of millions in a settlement with the NFL when they moved the Rams out of town. There’s been all this talk about what the city was going to do with the money and how it was gonna improve the city by bring jobs to underserved communities, blah, blah….Everyone knows very little will actually happen other than some suppliers and politicians were going to get very rich and buy homes outside the city. But now none of that’s gonna happen because the family of this unlucky girl is going to own all that money when they sue the crap out of the city. And I hope they do. I hope they bankrupt the city and the state or county government has to come in and take over.

Oh, and Saturday night in St. Louis, at 2 AM, a car swerved into the other lane to avoid stopping at a stoplight and ran into another car that had eight kids in it. Hit it so hard, it knocked the car over the overpass and landed upside down in the street below. Four of the eight teenagers were killed outright. Others are in hospital. The driver of the other car? Yeah, you guessed it….he got away.

A follow up to this. They identified the people in the car that got knocked over the bridge and four died. It was also mentioned there were five guns found in the car.
Today they had a memorial service at the spot. They closed the road down in both directions. Maybe 100 people showed up. Afterwards, there was some kind of argument and a pictures were snapped of four or five men running towards the argument with guns out. One of them had an ankle bracelet on meaning he was under a court approved home arrest, just like the guy who crashed and ripped the young volleyball players legs off. A reporter bravely asked weren’t they afraid of police and the response was ‘I don’t give a fxxk about the police.’ The police called for back up because they were outnumbered and outgunned. Everything broke up, and the guys with the guns got into two cars and drove away. The theory is, they were there looking for acquaintances of the four who were killed because of some type of gang violence going on, and they wanted to take advantage of the situation, figuring their friends might be there. But that’s just a guess by some people who were there, but it certainly rings true.
