EBay Windshield Problem (Read 44 times)

Posts: 145	Re: EBay Windshield Problem Reply #1 - 07/25/22 at 16:15:32 i have tried to salvage the situation by replacing part of the handlebar clamps with 1/8th aluminum strap. I also added a third mounting point on my risers. It held up during my commute to work today. Hopefully, the problem won't return.

I bought a Memphis Shades wind shield: Higher cost but the quality is there. (That clamp looks like it was installed 'under stress')

After my recent experience, I don't think handlebar mounts alone will ever be enough. I use a mirror mount windshield on my scooter. It has worked well for over 5 years with occasional bolt tightening.

The current M. Shades one is just large enough to direct the airflow over my head, so I can wear a cap with a brim. It has a two-point rubber cushioned mounting system, with adequate handlebar clamps. All kinds of adjustments, which can be confounding.
