might not be necessary, but I would regard it as cheap insurance.
disconnect the TCI or ignition module as it will cost more than $100 to replace.

Better safe than sorry ! Tiny circuits inside lithium battery could be affected. I’m with Versey , unplug modules and disconnect battery.

I agree with JoG and others. If the battery were hard to get to and disconnect I might say to chance it, but there really is no reason to.
I disconnect the TCI also.
