Reply #1 - 05/22/22 at 20:15:54 might not be necessary, but I would regard it as cheap insurance. disconnect the TCI or ignition module as it will cost more than $100 to replace.

If the battery were hard to get to and disconnect I might say to chance it, but there really is no reason to. I disconnect the TCI also.
