head gasket and oil leaks

I think we are all familiar with the oil leak coming up under the copper washers and head nuts.
And as I'm about to install a new non oem head gasket with no traces of any sealant, I'm wondering should I apply a thin film between the layers around the oil transfer locations.

Years ago I worked in the workshop of a Ford dealership
Standard procedure on all head gaskets in that shop was a layer of silver paint on both sides before assembly. They told me that they had never had a leak doing this I did it as well since then on the occasion I had a head off with similar results.

I have a KZ305 with a head gasket oil leak and I have been considering doing the same thing. Just a little sealant around the oil passages, being careful to keep it away from the metal compression rings.

Have you ever heard of
Copper Coat?
It's the only thing I have ever heard of recommended for head gaskets.

Thanks for your comments.
I searched for copper coat and found some interesting utube videos.
1. they did not recommend rtv because it would interfere with heat flow and potentially cause warping.
2. copper coat does transfer heat well.
3. don't use with coated gaskets. you are already paid for the coating why do it again.
I have a 3 layer gasket with no coating... I'll add the copper coat.
silver paint might work, but I'm looking for the tried and true.

Norton owners use a contact adhesive called Pliobond.

I have used coppercoat a lot around steam plant gaskets on pipe flanges and threads etc mainly for the easy disaassembly factor
Around aluminium and stainless steel we used Chesterton 785
