I noticed on that Ebay ad he is selling a belt with 35,000 miles on it.   Shocked  Not sure I would put that used of a belt on a bike I was going to ride.  Yet another reason I am switching my build to chain and sprockets...

You are likely going to have put on a new chain and sprockets 2-3 times as often as you have to replace a belt.  And....you have to put up with the chain maintenance and mess.

A belt can last a very long time.....I am pretty sure that MMRanch is still on his original belt at 60,000 miles.  I believe Youzguys has only done 1 replacement in 200,000 miles.

A new belt is a bit expensive - but no more expensive that buying several sets of chain/sprockets.  If you have time to watch eBay and wait for a good price on a low mileage belt.....you can get them pretty cheaply.

It's a low horsepower bike with a Big belt. If you don't wind up with gravel holes punched through it, they Go and Go..
