I am just curious, how cold does it get in Northern Nevada? I am not at all familiar with the area considering I am on the Gulf. Furthest west I've been in the U.S. is Moab.

Winter temps in the day are normally in the mid thirties. At night we get below freezing for several months. The lowest temp I have seen here in the 7 years I have lived here was -1. We are at the eastern foot of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, and our house is just under 5000 ft. elev. Last winter we had 14" of snow over night. Normally we see an inch or two, but it usually melts the same day.

That doesn't seem too bad. I suppose a wood stove would help lower some electricity costs.

This banner came from my grandfather's Studebaker dealership in Crystal Lake, IL - my hometown. It's canvas, with brass eyelets, and in remarkable shape for being 83 years old!

Super nice! Congratulations on maintaining your patience and gettin’ ‘er dun!

The rainbow in the background is your sign!! The Studebaker banner is really awesome too! 83 years old and still looks like new! What a fantastic keepsake and tribute!!

This looks like a great destination for our Spring 2025 Ride before Ruttly moves in! Grin

We can all bring cots and sleep under our bikes in the shop! See you in May! LOL!

EDIT/PS: What type of flooring is that? It looks like Italian Marble in the photos! Fancy! Seriously, is that polished stained concrete or some kind of epoxy resin? It looks awesome and functional!

It is a polyaspartic coating. Stronger and UV resistant than epoxy or polyurethane. I opted not to put the speckles in it (traction aid) because these old eyes wouldn't be able to spot a small screw or washer if dropped. Yeah, that never happens! This way it is easily seen. I just need to be careful if any liquid gets spilled. The color choices were a nod to my baja that was lost in the fire. The main reason I dropped the coin for a floor coating was to get rid of the burn stains on the concrete. It was not cheap, by any stretch! But I needed to eliminate as many reminders of the fire as possible - part of my mental healing, I guess.

If any of you guys want to swing by this way, I would love to hear a Savage run in person! Yes, I got that close to finishing my tracker and have yet to hear one of these motors live in person. Kind of sad... There are plenty of killer mountain roads here, and of course, Lake Tahoe, which is all of 35 minutes from my house. Cool

You guys are scaring me ! Don’t make me crawl out from under my rock ! Like a rebel without a cause , a recluse without a fear ! I heard distant rumblings of a west coast Savage gathering ! I would love to hear it too. From society’s spectrum of two wheelers could , don’t tell me it could possibly spawn a west coast gathering. Maybe some other silent members might attend too. Sorry , I must have been day dreaming
