Seat ideas?
06/01/21 at 13:30:34

I'm looking for a new seat.
Something like a well padded rectangle.
Not a one up, but flat and long.
Comfortable for day trips.
I tried building one, but the foam I received was soft, not as advertised.

Home Depot garden dept. They sell a closed cell foam kneeling pad that is just what I liked. 2 layers if you just do short trips, 3 layers for all-day rides, your choice.

Has anyone cut the two "horns" under the seat down, to better allow a flat seat to be mounted?
I'm using a laminated skateboard for a seat base. I can mount my fender to the seat easy enough, so the fender is not a problem.

I took my seat(‘09 1PC) to be reformed and reupholstered be to be more like a scrambler seat. The upholstererr raised the front for me and smoothed out the seat to fit my dimensions a little better. It came out amazing and they only charged 125 so I gave the guys each an extra 20. Will post a picture if I can remember.
