Those are horrible  Dr Seuss books!
They should be taken to a rally and burned!

Just add the arm band and the goose step.... Embarrassed

Sounds like they developed the decision over time and not due to complaints.

"Dr. Seuss Enterprises listened and took feedback from our audiences including teachers, academics and specialists in the field as part of our review process. We then worked with a panel of experts, including educators, to review our catalog of titles."

"Random House Children Books, Dr. Seuss’ publisher, issued a brief statement Tuesday: “We respect the decision of Dr. Seuss Enterprises (DSE) and the work of the panel that reviewed this content last year, and their recommendation."

I'm not aware of a push to remove the "Mr." from the potato head brand but it is a good PR move.  The number of people who will stop buying "Potato head" because its not "Mr." is considerably smaller than the group that will do the opposite.

The successful businesses plan for future sales and I think this is what the Potato Head thing is all about.
