Stones in belt

our savages do not like small chips on new seal  They are death to our belt drives  So far I have been able to avoid new seal by taking an alternative route to bypass these new roadwork areas

However there may come a time when no alternative route is available so I have fitted a stone guard which so far has worked well
Made from scrap out of my bin

I turned the footpeg capscrew into a stud by cutting off the head and welding on the shank of a short 10mm bolt
The space where the cap screw head was is filled up with 4[5] ? spring washers which fitted perfectly
The strut that supports the guard is held to the stud and swingarm  by a nyloc nut
This makes a strong mount
The front of the guard is held by a 2mm plate that picks up the 2  6mm setscrews in the front of the swingarm

That's a nice setup Hiko.  Reminds me of a Harley Softail belt guard.  Nice job.
