The clutch lever doesn't need to even get close to the handlebar to shift gears.

Really the Savage clutch has always been easier than the Guzzi clutch.
I'm suspecting the push-rod not being the right length to keep the pusher at or near the 90 deg. push angle.
It would seem : making the clutch pack thicker would make the push rod to be shorter ?
..............
So , Am I the only one who has ever broken the push/rocker thing ?

Nope,, I put washers under my springs, S.I.L. had it break on him . Busted the chain guide the tensioner goes on.
I didn't replace the o ring.
It dripped.
