K&N cone filter
07/31/20 at 07:54:18

i sent the tank off for paint.

Decided to clean the carb , well then one think lead to another.

Air box gone , Evap box gone.

New small breathe filter imstalled.
New cone filter installed .

Do I need to manipulate the filter ?
I read about a cutting breather slot ?

Thanks

I don't think you cut the filter.
but if the filter has a wide brim, then it can block the upper carb inlet.

There is a breather slot in the carb. The filter may block it off. If it does, the bike suffers. Make it fit so it doesn't cover it.
