For soft bags, the Willie and Max SB801 fits nicely and looks good.

I have viking semi-hard bags. Good bags for the money, but I had to make my own custom mounting brackets as the Suzuki brackets nor Viking's universal mounts work. Viking says their bracket will work, but it doesn't on our bikes. I knew better just from seeing it online and knew I would make my own sturdier bracket anyway.

With bags,, for me, my first question is
How much Stuff fits in it?
And, what does the manufacturer say is the Max weight its good for..

How far from outside to inside is that?
Will a 6 pack sit both  ways?

True, but here are the bags that came on it with the stock Suzuki brackets supporting them (or lack thereof). They had to dang near drag the ground to avoid the rear signals and also flopped around bad in the wind. You will find that unless you buy stock saddle bag supports and the skinny Suzuki bags, anything else you want will be fighting for the same space as the rear signals...that's why a good chunk of us here with saddle bags have relocated them.

I gave my old bags to JOG, so they are his problem now...unless he ground them down to plastic dust in his previous incident.  Shocked

I had a package I was headed to mail off to a buddy for his B/day,, In it
2 copper coins from the fifties,, Advertising stuff,, Collectible things,, ehh,, twenty bucks or so apiece,, And, twenty bucks, cash, for a drink and some pool games,, and a few other little items,,
That bag was ripped offa the bike,, and everything in it,, Found TReasures for someone,,

Hey,, I REALLY enjoyed and appreciated those bags, so Thank You, sir,, Once again..

I, naturally, mounted them differently than most folks.
I got grommets and put in them, and used parachute cord to lace them on,, avoidng the Voltage Regulator issue,,

Only one got ground into plastic,,

I solved the Flopping in the wind issue by poking holes in strategic places and lacing them to the bracket with parachute cord,,
