Thanks for the info. So I remove the tank,
head cover
, and the valve cover and that's all I need to take off to access the valves?
No - whatever you do - do not remove the head cover for this job. Valve covers are those little palm sized on top of exhaust and carb sides - 2 little bolts hold them and they have an O ring and mark which way they went on and which is intake vs exhaust - I am not sure if they're all same on this bike or not, so just take an extra precaution.
Spark plug door - yes there is such a mod - look up this forum. Lets you take off spark plug easier.
Cool.

Not the head cover. Just the two chrome decorative pieces on either side of the head cover. And the two small valve covers. One on the front and one on the back of the head cover.
Parts #29,#30, #38 on the diagram. The valve covers are #38 - both the same)

Ok, sorry, I thought the chrome decorative pieces were called "head covers".
Thanks for the help!

technically, they are head cover caps.
but point taken, if everything is called a head cover, it gets confusing.

And right side chrome thing doesn't need to be removed. If left side has the "door" mod, then just swing it open. If you're removing it - then door mod it so next spark plug change takes 2 min instead of 45 mins.
Cool.
