Yup, the slave masters have covered it up. And they've cranked their economy back up. Essentially to crush the rest of the world both by infecting them, and by crippling their industry.

The main takeaway here is: Chinese govt can't be trusted with reporting accurately on emerging viruses and possible pandemics. A three week delay (they knew about human-human transmission and that there was a new virus and punished and silenced whistleblowers for reasons not clear).
How the world goes on about fixing this or coping with it seeing as they have deadly viral reservoirs and lot of people moving into newly urbanized space where there is higher then average contact with wildlife is something I hope we can figure out before the next time.
