Trump is now telling those who will listen that he did not direct Giuliani's machinations in Ukraine- claims he doesn't know what he was doing there, that Giuliani has "other clients".

Trumpians, update your talking points, overwriting previous directives contradicting this narrative.   If you heard something that seemed to come from Trump's mouth indicating he had instructed foreign nationals to direct the business of state to Giuliani, remember- "what you are seeing and what you are reading is not what's happening."

"-but sir... you gave us the transcript."

On that we can agree, Mr President- under no circumstance should we take anything you say at face value, a radically devalued currency.
