I am not convinced a 700 pound dual sport bike is a necessity.

If I go off roading - I want a single cylinder bike that is less than 350 pounds......so I can pick it up when I drop it!

A shorter wheelbase and more ground clearance are a must. Riding my Ducati off road was a painful example why.

A passenger seat off road ?  Are you really going to ride double in the ruff stuff ? Is that a  muffler or a bazooka?

Several years ago Mattel decided that they needed to update the Ken doll for Barbie. They asked girls what they wanted and they said that Ken needed to be cooler. So Mattel has a meeting in some boardroom and realize that they had no idea of what was cool. Someone says that raves are what is cool at the time. So they send people to raves to get design ideas. Raves were very popular with the gay crowd then. Not knowing any better the Mattel bozos copied what they say and presto, Barbie has a gay boyfriend then.

I think H-D must have hired their design team from Mattel because like  with the Ken doll, they are really missing the mark with that bike.

For me it’s the same as the Savage the more I look at it the more I like it. Maybe just not for 30k ! Yeah they will only sell a few , but someone had to build it. What would be said if it had a Suzuki or Yamaha name tags on it ?
But the adventure bike is really reaching , a custom builder here built a full knobbied motorcrosser out of a sportster and it’s still in his showroom , 14 years later. A true novelty bike.

I think someone built 30 years ago, put it in a closet and forgot it.

I really don't think Harley has a clue what to do.  They have sold just about as many heavy V-Twins as the world cares to buy - and they likely have little chance of winning over the folks who currently buy things from Japan/Italy/Germany.....and sometimes India/China.

The "die hard" V Twin folks will continue to buy a few new bikes - and be pissed off at Harley for trying to make anything newer/better and claim it is not a "real" Harley.

I don't want to see Harley go out of business - but I do believe they screwed up when the got rid of the Buehl.....they could have made sport and adventure bikes that people really wanted!

It appears to me that the front fairing is not attached to the forks but to the frame. If the headlights don't point where you steer off-road at night you need to say your prayers before you ride. There's a recipe for disaster.

And is there some mechanical reason I don't get for having that extra long swingarm and putting the back wheel so far back?
Is it for sand dunes riding?

I actually like the looks of the bike. But my first thought was how much does that thing weigh?

My 1st thought was how can it possibly run without any chrome?

My 2nd thought was the new Harley badboy look... Cheesy

Anybody know who they are marketing to?

My first thought was kids.

The same kids who live in their parents basement.

A Transformer motorcycle that turns into, what?  Undecided
